Margareth Kammerer - "To be an Animal of real Flesh" (2004)

Well, the first solo-release of the Berlin based singer and guitarist Margareth Kammerer (The Magic I.D.) contains five solo-recordings as well as collaborations with Axel Dörner (Die Enttäuschung), Chris Abrahams (The Necks) and Yoshida Tatsuya (Ruins).

Additionally there are remix-tracks from B.Fleischmann (Charhizma/Morr), Nicholas Bussmann (Kapitalband.1), Fred Frith, Philip Jeck (Touch) und Olivier Lamm (Active Suspension).

My first encounter left me astonished: The somehow naked originals were treated by this bunch of experimental remixers in such a wonderfully insightful way that the reusults are nothing but outstanding and unbelievably warm.

Special music !

Get it here: Margareth Kammerer - To be an Animal of real Flesh (192Kbps)

And enjoy !

I have wanted to hear this, thanks. I know her work from the Bologna based women's group, Fastilio, and the related, Ensemble Eva Kant, for whom Frith wrote Pacifica. I think she was in another related group as well, Laboratorio di Musica & Immagine, but I've never heard any of their work.
