Mutter - Ich schaeme mich Gedanken zu haben die andere Menschen in Ihrer Wuerde verletzen

Well, Mutter is one of the most uncompromising german Bands I know. Brutal, in your face, slow, up your ass, dense - on the one hand. Later they developed the other hand with disturbingly beautiful pop-ditties embracing the world with acoustic guitars and apparently forgiving lyrics.

Before 1986 they called themselves "Camping Sex" and released a record named "1914!" - Thurston Moore judged it as one of the 10 best guitar albums ever...

In 1989 Mutter released their vinyl-debut. It's title can be translated into "I am ashamed having thoughts that affront other people's dignity". At that time it's been hard to stand it's deconstructed sound and structure - but I couldn't resist it's stoic power.

Even if the photo above could transport a sense of humour - they really mean it, believe me ...
