Queen - As Heard Through The Meat Grinder

OK, I have to admit: I was a Queen fan when I was young. And maybe that is all about them: it's music for kids. But last year I found this great tribute sampler of noise/noise-rock/improv artists. And it is so damn great and funny if you know the originals. Hm, even if you don't. Stylus-Magazine wrote: "Now with this tribute, Queen is completely deconstructed, reconstructed and shaped into a completely different monster. What we get with this compilation is some really scary shit, and some unexpected gems." - So it is...

Take your time for the artist/track-list:

1. Asterisk - Ogre Battle
2. Blood Brothers - Under Pressure
3. The Get Hustle - Another One Bites the Dust
4. Bastard Noise - Lilly Of The Valley
5. Fast Forward - Crazy Little Thing Called Love
6. Glass Candy - Fairy Feller's Master Stroke
7. Go Go Go Airheart - Death On Two Legs
8. Melt Banana - We Will Rock You
9. Sinking Body - Who Needs You
10. The Convocation Of - Get Down Make Love
11. The Locust - Flash's Theme
12. The Oath - We Are The Champions
13. The Spacewurm - Vultan's Theme
14. Tourettes Lautrec - Killer Queen
15. Upsilon Acrux - Bicycle Race
16. Weasel Walter - Bohemian Rhapsody

This is great. It's been released at ThreeOneG in 2002.

Get it here: Dynamite With A Laserbeam - Queen As Heard Through The Meat Grinder of Three One G (192Kbps).

good clean fun indeed; neverheardofthatrecord b4, although there's a melt banana track on it. by the way: two outposts to place your musicial taste inbetween - queen on the other side and melt b. on the other side.

Thanks for commenting...
Though I have the slight feeling that there are more than 2 outposts in musical taste...
Well, thinking - R3000.

Almost a year late on this one, so I'll check back again and hope that this one might be re-upped. Even if its not, you have a great selecting going on here. Thanks
