"Gerry Miles stripped vaudeville-style in Seattle from the 1930's to the 60's..." Nobody seems to explain what that has to do with this recording of an amazing improv that took place in St. Peter's Cathedral in NY a couple years back. If you combine one No New-Yorker (Connie Burg of ex-Mars fame on bass clarinet), a talented pianist (Melissa Weaver), a string-wrecker (Alan Licht on pipe organ) and one japanese legend/icon (Keiji Haino on vocals), the avant-improv results of their collaboration will astound, mesmerize and transport you to the next solar system !
So it is - this is very nice & very unusual stuff of the people involved...
Get it here: Alan Licht & Keiji Haino - Gerry Miles (VBR)
And enjoy (It's reupped again) !
